Wow! I haven't posted anything for 3 months! Good grief! Well, here's my interpretation of Illustration Friday's theme, Leap. Even though I think it was meant to go along with Feb. 29 (Leap Year), I took a different approach! We're studying all about the seasons in my Kindergarten classroom, and this seemed to fit perfectly. This little duck is LEAPing for joy that it's (almost) Spring! Thanks for stopping by...please feel free to leave any comments. This was done quickly without a lot of "fluff," but I kinda' like this one that way...simply colored. :)Saturday, March 1, 2008

Oh yessss! Almost Spring! I'd be leaping as this adorable friend too :D
I am so happy to see your art and feel your happy vibes again! I still owe you an atc... This is just what the doctor ordered, pure sunshine! btw, taking the leap means a lot of hard and uncertain times and i know you are a mom and it isn't as easy to take as many risks when you have a little one depending on you so i just want you to know i admire you for being a wonderful teacher, artist and person!
Ducks were one of my favorite animals we had on our farm growing up. You just reminded me of them - Thank you! This is so vibrant, I love it! Great job!
Good job,
Best Wishes,
Issi
We've missed you! Glad to see you back at the cuties!!!
So glad to have you back, Tracy! And just like your adorable duck and butterfly, I'm also leaping for joy in anticipation for Spring. I love the blush on his cheek and the texture of the cloud!

Yay! I'm so happy for spring to arrive also, and to see your work again! Such a cute and happy duck - a wonderful spring-y illo!
