Illustration Friday: Emergency

For this week's theme I thought about a little girl discovering a baby bird's nest. I think in a little girl's mind, this would definitely be considered an emergency.

It would be an emergency if the nest had fallen from a tree.

Very sweet and touching - and the scene ranks right up there as an emergency to me. Your work is wonderful!

Cool work. I heard the idea that momma birds will avoid a baby bird that a human has touched is a rural myth that moms made up to snowjob their kids. My mom used it on me. Damn her!

This is so cute! We have the same idea and don't worry mine is with different concept. Cheer!

So dear. What a tender moment.

..................... And yet, I remember the time one of our students brought a bird's nest to school for show and tell. She also brought it into the nurse's office to show her what she had found. Consequently the classroom and the nurse's office and most of the children had to be treated for teeny tiny bird lice.

I also got and honored the myth about no human touching a bird's nest. Grew up with that one.

Oh, I agree, that would be an emergency for me as well. Hopefully she is not too far from the tree where this little bird fell from, and will be able to bring him back home. Very expressive, and very sweet too.

I agree. A definite emergency to any child... one that makes you take care of a baby bird for days, with little hope. We have managed to release a couple in our time but most never make it.

Sweet illo as always my friend.
